OUR HONEYMOON – JAPAN & POLINESIA
Our honeymoon will get started on June, 29th and we will arrive in TOKYO the day after, spending three days in the Japan’s capital, surrounded by its colourful and lively life. The charm of this city leaves a feeling there’s always something new to learn and to do, with its 23 blocks, all with their lights, traditions, souls.
Second stop-over will be NAGOYA which will be reached travelling by Shinkansen, one of the quickest trains in the world. From Nagoya, we will leave for Kiso’s Valley, a 4 hour path, deep into the wild and the forest, populated by bears, monkeys, deers.
We will go ahead, towards TAKAYAMA, an authentic medieval village. The day after we will go towards KANAZAWA, stopping by in SHIRAKAWA-GO a typical village in the mountain, where the houses have a peculiar and traditional shape.
We will reach KANAZAWA, where we will spend the night and we will be able to feel a real medieval environment.
We will end this amazing week visiting one of the most beautiful cities of Japan: KYOTO. Here we will spend few days discovering the hearth of Japan, a perfect mix of history and innovation.
After Kyoto, we will leave for one of the holiest places in Japan: KOYASAN, a village based on a mountain and surrounded by about 60 monasteries and peopled by more than 4000 monks. We will have the opportunity to live a wonderful, magic day deep into the traditions of the place.
Before going back to Tokyo, we will go to NARA, the old capital of Japan, based 42 km south from Kyoto, even though nowadays it’s still a small village.
After this visit, we will go back to Tokyo and leave for POLYNESIA.
The island we will visit will be MOOREA, after a stop-over in Tahiti. Moorea is a fascinating and stunning island, with its breathtaking scenery and a calm, relaxing flow. This treasure in the middle of the Ocean is perfect for diving, sunbathing or just relaxing deep into the exotic nature.
We will be charmed by lush inlets, Cook’s Bay and Opunohu, besides the mountainous landscape standing out the crystalin clear water of the lagoon.
Before leaving this Polynesian heavenly land, we will spend another night in Tahiti, known also as the “Tāmure Island” or island of pickled raw fish and sweet aroma, it’s the beating heart of Polynesia where Papeete, the capital of Polynesia, is based on.
Papeete is a very typical city with its harbour, his gardens, boutiques, the street food , the colourful market and the well known handcraft.
July 20th we will go back to Tokyo, where we will spend the last 2 days of our Honeymoon.
